Why Monday will be Cool

PSP specs:

-multiple party development (Sony has the hook-up when it comes to developers)
-self-contained UMD disc format (for both feature films and games)
-wireless multiplayer
-eventual online multiplayer
-online contectivity to wireless internet
-connectivity to PC, PS2, and eventually PS3 via USB (also wirelessly on PS3)
-downloadable content for games
-downloadable emulators (SNES, NES, Sega Genesis, and yes, even current generation PSP games)
-compressed data storage via memory stick (MagicGate's 1 GB stick is like the size of a piece of Chex Mix)
-stores picture, music, and video files (the latter of the three using a fully-formed codec translation device known as MPEG 4)
-multiple USB devices: USB digital camera, USB speakers, etc.
-connectivity to surround-sound stereo systems via tape adapter
-a ridiculous amount of third-party accessories designed to broaden sound capability (speaker sets), multiply battery longevity (car chargers, charge cases, charge cases with frickin' speakers), enhance protection (slip covers, stainless steel cases), etc.

And of course, the most important specification of all: it's portable. All that crap is crammed into something that fits in your freaking pocket. I've got six days left until my last paycheck from Pizza Hut gets dropped into my hands, so until then, I guess it's back to looking at pretty pictures of the thing.
